Who We Are

Our Story

A family, a forest, and a quiet dream.

How It Began

My Forest Cabins began with a simple idea: that the best kind of hospitality is the kind that feels like coming home. Our family has lived in these hills for three generations, and we've always believed that the forest here has something rare — a stillness that the modern world rarely offers.

We built the first cabin by hand in 2019, using local stone and deodar wood, with help from craftsmen from the village. We wanted it to feel like it had always been there — like the trees had simply grown around it.

Since then, two more cabins have followed. Each one is a little different, but all three share the same spirit: simple, warm, and deeply rooted in this place.

Your Hosts

We are Vikram and Ananya, and this forest is our home. Vikram grew up in these hills and knows every trail, every bird, and every story the mountains hold. Ananya brings warmth to every meal, every conversation, and every detail of your stay. Between us, we hope to make your time here feel less like a holiday and more like a memory you'll carry for years.

Rooted in Place

Everything here — the wood, the stone, the food — comes from within a few kilometres of where you're sitting.

Slow by Design

We don't offer activities by the hour. We offer time. The forest does the rest.

Small on Purpose

Three cabins, never more. We'd rather do this well for a few than do it poorly for many.

Come and see for yourself.
